I’ve been going to Mhari on and off for a few years now, she’s brilliant, knows her technical stuff inside out and can explain it to a lay person fantastically. Has got me up Kilimanjaro and up to 5-a-side. Great chat as well to distract from the foot adjustments! Any one who has feet/leg/hip issues should definitely give the clinic a try as it can be much more effective that physio etc.
I can’t explain how amazing this clinic is. Mhairi and the whole team are so warm, professional and friendly, from the initial phone call through to consultation and follow-up, I felt totally looked after. The problem with my knee has vastly improved and it feels wonderful to be able to walk and run without pain any more. Thank you to everyone for helping me.
I visited The Foot and Leg Clinic and had a consultation and Kinetic Chain Release session with Mr. Peacock to help me with neck and back stiffness. Following this session the stiffness was gone and, since then, I have been more aware of my body posture. JD taught me how to correct my posture in my everyday life and, following his advice, I have significant improvement with my migraine.
Mhairi provides a brilliant service. I’ve had knee and hip pain for years and now, thanks to Mhairi I know the cause and she has given me the right treatment to sort it out. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field and thorough in her diagnostic techniques, explaining everything as she goes through the process. Very approachable and easy to communicate with. Thoroughly recommended!

We are professional whilst friendly and are blessed to have created a community of patients, many of whom we have worked with for over 10 years.
We utilise high spec gait analysis software to provide a 3D gait analysis of you walking or running (or playing golf or racket sports). Data is gathered and measured of your loading patterns as you walk or run including step length and loading times and patterns through various areas of your feet. Additional advanced software measures your balance and postural sway in static stance and when walking or running, power and jump height when hopping and jumping, reaction times to visual and audio stimulus… and so much more.
Highly Experienced Clinicians
The equipment we utilise is of course an excellent tool and also lots of fun, however data analysis can NOT diagnose an injury nor devise a treatment plan. This is where it is essential that you see a clinician with experience that is also good at problem solving and able to add the ‘pieces of the puzzle’ together to figure out why you’re overloading various area of your body.
Gait changes and realignment of your body can be recommended from this point only and not simply by gathering data.
All of our clinicians are of a high standard and still work regularly with the UK’s professional athletes including Scottish Football, Scottish Rugby and Commonwealth Games.

Custom Foot Orthotics
In addition to physiotherapy and massage therapy we specialise in prescribing foot orthotics which are custom manufactured within our onsite orthotic workshop. Our orthotics are truly custom made; sadly many out there are not and instead are a modular orthotic devise sold as a custom. We are currently working on designing our own software for manufacturing 3D printed orthotics. With regards to orthotics 3D printing is fairly new and as such we do not feel the software presently available around the UK and Europe meets our standards and are therefore not willing to supply our patients with the 3D scanned insoles currently offered around the UK.

What We Treat
No matter the condition, we have a treatment to help.
Foot & Ankle Injuries
Foot and Ankle injuries can be complicated and your clinician must be well educated and experienced. We carry out in depth analysis of foot function and posture. Performed by our Specialist Orthotist or the Foot and Ankle Surgeon.
Leg Injuries
We treat all musculoskeletal leg injuries. The assessment is performed by either our Senior Physiotherapists of Specialist Orthotist. Leg Injuries can relate to poor alignment of the foot which subsequently results in poor alignment of the knee (and hip) and increases the risk of injury.
Knee Injuries
Knee Injuries, as with many Leg Injuries, often relate to poor alignment of the foot which subsequently results in poor alignment of the knee (and hip) and increases the risk of injury. We treat all injuries. Our Senior Physiotherapists will perform the assessment and take you through rehab.
Hip & Back Injuries
Poor biomechanics most often plays a role in back and hip injuries. You could book to see our Specialist Biomechanical Orthotist for a Gait Analysis to understand why you might be overloading the injured area or arrange to see our Senior Physiotherapists for diagnosis and strengthening program.
Headaches
Headaches can be stress, chemical or trauma in nature. The Biomechanical Assessment would help identify alignment deviations that are contributing to over loading of tissue around the head. Our Senior Physiotherapist can help by assessing function of the upper limb. For 1st appointments treating headaches we suggest KCR therapy by our Sports Therapist to release the fascia tension around the head.
Neuromuscular Conditions
Neuromuscular conditions include a large range of conditions and ailments which are a result of problems with the central nervous system.
Upper Limb & Shoulder
Shoulder and Upper Limb injuries can be complicated and may require our experienced Senior Physiotherapist to assess joint function. If the injury relates to soft tissue restriction then our Sports Therapist’s KCR treatment may be just what is required.
