Diagnosing your sporting injury
By understanding how your body works and where the cause of your pain or discomfort is, we can design orthotic insoles that are perfect for your condition.
Why working with a multidisciplinary team is important
We work closely as a clinical team comprising of MSK Doctor, Biomechanical Specialist, Podiatrist, Orthotist, Physiotherapists, and Sports and Massage Therapist.
All hugely experienced and well regarded in their field, working together to develop good treatment plans for their patients. We also work alongside Orthopaedic Surgeons and Radiologists for those patients that require surgery or rehabilitation post surgery.
This combination of skills and experience means we can effectively diagnose and treat sports injuries for patients who may have had no success with their local GP or private consultants.

Frequently asked questions
Here are some of the most commonly asked questions from patients who haven’t yet visited our sports injury clinic.
How do you diagnose sports injuries?
We work with the patient to understand the nature of their injury, pain or discomfort, as well as any relevant history. From here we will recommend an approach to assessing your injury, to diagnose the cause and prescribe a treatment.
What conditions do orthotics treat?
Custom foot orthotics can treat a wide variety of conditions, including bunions, corns, calluses, tendonitis, metatarsalgia, morton’s neuroma and a range of conditions that effect the feet, ankles, knees, hips and even upper body.
What does a gait analysis tell you?
A gait analysis will tell you if your body is misaligned while walking or running, and indicate what impact this is having on other joints and muscles.
How much does a sports injury diagnosis cost?
The cost of diagnosis depends on your injury, but as an example, a biomechanical assessment costs £72, and a diagnostic ultrasound costs £165. We will discuss the appropriate service for you when you get in touch.
