Treatments for athlete’s foot

Here are some general tips for the treatment and prevention of athlete’s foot:

  • Antifungal medications – look for products containing ingredients such as clotrimazole, miconazole, or terbinafine.
  • Keep your feet clean and dry – wash your feet thoroughly with soap and water daily, especially between the toes. Dry them completely, paying attention to the spaces between your toes.
  • Topical Steroids – in some cases, topical steroids may be recommended to reduce inflammation and itching.

If your symptoms persist or worsen despite home treatments, it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan.
