Sports Injury Diagnostic Ultrasound

Diagnostic Ultrasound for Sports Injuries

Based in Glasgow, near George Cross

Medical diagnostic ultrasound for sports injuries

Musculoskeletal ultrasound is a painless and harmless way to obtain pictures of structures in the body, such as muscles, tendons and ligaments. It uses high frequency sound waves to generate a live picture of these structures on a screen.

This allows our resident Sports and A&E Doctor to assess your injury, pain or discomfort and diagnose the cause of it. Common injuries diagnosed are shin splints, tendinopathy, ligament sprains, plantarfasciitis, Mortons neuromas, athritis and stress fractures.

Our specialists can help diagnose and treat most sports injuries – book an appointment to discuss the next steps.

Medical Assessment & Diagnostic Ultrasound

In-clinic medical ultrasound assessment

The medical ultrasound assessment is performed by our experienced Sport and A&E doctor.

Dr Eyvindsson is experienced working with professional athletes and also works helping elderly, sedentary, or the novice athlete.  He works within the clinic to provide medical assessments, including ultrasound diagnosis of a range of MSK injuries including foot, ankles, knees, hips, wrists or elbows.

Dr Eyvindsson will assess, diagnose and devise a treatment plan.

Diagnostic Ultrasound can be highly affective in providing a better rehab plan for patients once a clear diagnosis is confirmed.  Dr Eyvindsson works closely with our team of physiotherapists, sports therapists, podiatrists and orthotists to develop a clear rehab program.
